海南岛 Hainan Island 

　　海南岛在中国的南部，面积32,200多平方千米。北隔琼州海峡同雷州半岛相望，是中国第二大岛。 

　　Hainan Island, the second largest island in China, lies in the far south, with an area of over 32,200 km2. It faces the Leizhou Peninsula across the Qiongzhou Strait to the north. 

　　海南岛的地形中间高，四周低。五指山是岛上最著名的山脉，从东南方望去，其主峰形似五指，因此而得名。 

　　海南岛到处是一派热带风光。这里有大片的热带森林，植物种类繁多，终年常绿。另外还有许多独特的生物现象，如板状根、老茎生花等。 

　　海南岛是橡胶、椰子、油棕、剑麻、胡椒等热带经济作物的主要产地。 

　　海南岛是著名的旅游胜地，被称为南海上的一颗“明珠”。特别是南部的三亚市，碧水蓝天，景色迷人。牙龙湾、大东海、天涯海角、鹿回头等著名景点，每天都吸引众多的国内外游人。  

　　Hainan is high in the middle and low on all sides. Five-Fingers Mountain is the most famous mountain on the island. Seen from the southeast, the main peak is like five fingers. 

　　One will enjoy tropical scenery everywhere on Hainan. There is a large area of tropical forest, a variety of evergreen plants, plus many special biological phenomena, such as plate-like roots, blossoms on old stems and so on. 

　　Hainan is the main production area for tropical cash crops such as rubber, coconuts, oil palms, sisal and pepper, etc. 

　　It is a famous tourist place, reputed to be a "pearl" in the South China Sea. Moreover, Sanya City in the south has green seawater, blue sky and charming scenery. Many famous scenic spots such as Tooth Dragon Bay, Great East Sea, End of the Earth and Deer Looking Back, attract thousands of visitors every day.
